PSEG Long Island wrapped up its final ‘Power to Feed’ food drive of the summer, collecting more than 130,000 meals for families across Long Island.
The initiative, now in its fifth year, partners with Island Harvest and Stop & Shop to fight food insecurity. Since its launch, the campaign has provided more than 150,000 healthy meals to neighbors in need.
“This summer, we’ve become a well-oiled machine,” said Nicole Hall, senior community partnership coordinator at PSEG Long Island. “It’s truly rewarding, and everybody really has their heart and soul into making our community the best it can be.”
Organizers say programs like ‘Power to Feed’ are part of a broader mission to support Long Island families, and small businesses and to help strengthen the community.
As a thank you, donors received energy-saving lightbulbs at the final event in West Babylon.
