PSEG faces 2nd snowstorm since takeover
PSEG Long Island is facing its second big storm test since taking over LIPA.
The utility says it prepared for the wintry weather by performing system checks on critical transmission and distribution equipment.
PSEG officials say they added contractors, including tree crews, to help the utility's workforce.
To report an outage, customers are urged to call PSEG's outage hotline at 1-800-490-0075 or text the word "OUT" to 773-454. The text service requires a one-time registration.
