Prosecutors: Selden woman embezzled over $340,000 from small business in Medford

The business says Leslie Mroz handled payroll and was able to pay herself over double her salary and make unauthorized contributions to her retirement fund and health insurance.

A Selden woman was sentenced to up to six years in prison for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from her boss.
Leslie Mroz pleaded guilty in October to grand larceny.
Prosecutors say Mroz was the human resources manager for a small business in Medford.
They say she handled payroll and was able to pay herself over double her salary and make unauthorized contributions to her retirement fund and health insurance.
In total, prosecutors say she was able to steal over $340,000.
