Federal prosecutors plan to use the testimony of the couple convicted in the Medford pharmacy massacre against a Great Neck doctor charged with distributing powerful painkillers.
They plan to use the testimony of David Laffer and his wife, Melinda Brady, against Dr. Eric Jacobson. Laffer was convicted of killing four people in 2011 during a pharmacy robbery.
Jacobson is accused of illegally giving the couple prescriptions for hydrocodone for nearly a year.
His lawyer tells Newsday the prosecutors' plan is a stunt to unfairly influence the jury.
