An Island Park man has been sentenced to over 17 years in prison after pleading guilty to distributing child pornography.
Prosecutors say 22-year-old Lorenzo Arana sent explicit videos of a 12-year-old girl to the child's friends and classmates because she refused to respond to his calls.
The girl attempted to commit suicide in September 2020, according to court documents.
Federal prosecutors say Arana knew the child was suicidal and encouraged her to harm herself.
