President Donald Trump and Gov. Andrew Cuomo are in a war of words. It all stems from a President Trump tweet in which the president appeared to threaten pulling back federal funds from Democrat-controlled cities grappling with civil unrest.
New York City was among those mentioned.
Gov. Cuomo responded saying President Trump was dismissed as a “clown by the city.”
President Trump snapped back today on Twitter, saying the governor has the worst record on death concerning what Trump referred to as the "China Virus."
Back in May, New York City saw looting and riots in the wake of George Floyd's death.
The president was critical of Cuomo's and the city's response to the unrest.
