Power was restored to some Suffolk residents on Thursday.
Crews removed a massive tree from Old Country Road in Melville.
It fell near Mount Misery Road, snagging the overhead power lines and snapping utility poles.
The damage happened early Thursday morning after Wednesday night's downpours.
