The special election to replace ousted Rep. George Santos is less than six weeks away now -- and the campaigns are starting to heat up.
The Long Island Association is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the region and its business community. This week, ahead of the LIA's annual State of the Region breakfast, we spoke to its president and CEO Matt Cohen.
This past week was full of political news around Long Island. Here are some of the top stories including Ed Romaine taking office as the Suffolk County executive, Republicans taking control of the Long Beach City Council for the first time in decades and Richard Nicolello is set to be appointed as North Hempstead town attorney.
Nassau's former presiding officer is soon expected to take on a new role.
