This week, News 12 is speaking with Anne Donnelly, Nassau County’s district attorney currently running for reelection.
Four years ago, she defeated state Sen. Todd Kaminsky in the race for district attorney, the first Republican to win the office in 20 years.
Donnelly's campaign this time around is focused on cracking down on cyber-crimes, drug trafficking and antisemitism.
Also, it's a county wide office that doesn't always get as much attention as some other elected positions – county comptroller. Rich Barrabi was joined by Wayne Wink, who is challenging current Nassau County Comptroller Elaine Phillips.
The former Nassau County legislator and North Hempstead town clerk from Roslyn says he wants to "ensure that taxpayer dollars are handled with transparency and accountability."
