18ds agoA holiday tradition is returning to Long Island this weekend as The Village of Port Jefferson transforms into the Charles Dickens Festival.
The festival is back for a 27th year.
The two-day event draws in thousands of people and kicks off Saturday, Dec. 2, and runs until Sunday, Dec. 3.
VIDEO: What to expect at the Dickens Festival
The streets of Port Jefferson will be lined with residents volunteering in Dickens-era costumes as Dickens-era characters and performing vignettes from the author’s prolific works.
Some of the activities at the event include concerts, skating, and horse and carriage rides.
