News
12 spoke to a witness who said he pulled over along the service road last night
to fix something and saw someone going the wrong way. The witness said
he tried to stop the accident from happening.
“Those
lights were moving at me. I figured, that’s a car going in the wrong
direction. So, I started to blink my lights because I was on the
shoulder. Completely on. Completely off, on. It never
slowed down. I watched it go by, doing about 40, even up to 50 miles an hour,
didn't hit the brakes till he went this way," the witness told News
12.
That witness says he was going to speak to police about what he saw.
Detectives
are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad
at 631-854-8652.
