A woman was arrested Thursday in connection with an alleged MS-13 murder in Uniondale.
Police say Sandra Tobar-Mejia conspired with her new boyfriend to kill her ex-boyfriend Osmin Campos Sandoval in 2016.
Detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick says “she identified her old boyfriend as an 18th Street Gang member to her MS-13 new boyfriend.”
“They lured him to the woods, dressed in red, believing he was with 18th Street Gang and then they surprised him and they attacked him there – where they butchered him and shot him then buried him," says Fitzpatrick.
Police say they found Campos-Sandoval's body last October near the Uniondale water tower.
She is charged with second-degree murder.
