After 8 p.m. Thursday, detectives say two men entered Sam Smoke and Tobacco Shop on Merrick Road, held a handgun to an employee and demanded money.
The employee complied, and the men ran off with an unknown amount of money.
That worker was the only individual in the store at the time. Police say they were not hurt.
