Police say a Medford teenager was critically injured in a crash on Veterans Memorial Highway in Bayport Monday morning.

They say James Cermak, 18, was driving when he lost control of his pickup truck.

Cermak was partially ejected as the truck overturned. A passing driver used a car jack to lift the pickup truck off the teenager.

Cermak was airlifted to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
