Police say David Zerella was driving westbound on Nesconset Highway near Wireless Road when he hit Qamat Shah, 13, while he was riding his bike.

Police: Teen bicyclist struck by car in Setauket dies
Suffolk police say a bicyclist who was struck in Setauket on Thursday has died.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m.
Police say David Zerella was driving westbound on Nesconset Highway near Wireless Road when he hit Qamat Shah, 13, while he was riding his bike.
Shah, of Setauket, was taken to Stony Brook University where he was pronounced dead.
Zerella, 36, of Port Jefferson, and his female passenger were not injured.
