Police: Sword, handgun used in attack on 5 men sleeping inside Hicksville home

Five men were attacked in a Hicksville home by a group with a large sword and a handgun, police say.
It happened on Princess Street Wednesday at around 2 a.m. when police say the suspects entered the home through a basement door.
They say at least three victims were cut by the sword, and the others were beaten.
One man is in custody in connection to the attack. Police say Simranjeet Singh, of Hicksville, has been charged with attempted murder.
No other arrests have been made.
