The suspect in the abduction of a woman on Wednesday night is now facing kidnapping and criminal contempt charges.

The NYPD says Holmark Garces, 33, abducted a woman in Suffolk County at knifepoint.

Authorities say he forced her into his car and drove through two counties on Long Island before making his way onto the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn.

Police officers from the 68th Precinct assisted in pursuing the vehicle once it reached Dyker Heights.

Authorities say Garces hit several police vehicles before he was taken into custody.

Five officers had to be treated for minor injuries after two police cruisers crashed and two officers were hurt during the suspect's arrest.

The woman was not injured and has since returned to Long Island.

The rest of the investigation is being handled by Suffolk County police.
