A South Farmingdale man was arrested Saturday for allegedly attacking a police officer in East Meadow, according to authorities.
Police say officers were called to Nassau University Medical Center to assist a combative individual.
They say Andrew O'Donohue, 37, struck and kicked an officer in the face as they attempted to calm him.
The suspect was then placed under arrest and charged with assault.
