A report of a gunshot fired at a PSEG call center in Melville has prompted a police investigation.
A bullet hole was found in a window and picture frame at the office on Park Drive Wednesday morning, authorities say.
There was no one in the office at the time of the incident.
The utility that took over LIPA earlier this month says that about 7,000 customers lost power during the storm.
