Police say they took a high-powered weapon off the streets during a raid Thursday night in Uniondale.
Three people were arrested in the raid of a small business called Wall Street Gold and Silver on Front Street.
Nassau detectives say they were notified about illegal drug activity at the pawn shop, prompting them to obtain a search warrant and go inside.
Authorities say they found a military-style rifle and silencer, as well as drugs, in the raid.
Those arrested were identified as 32-year-old Nelson Larios, of Woodmere; 30-year-old Micheal Ebinger, of Freeport; and 22-year-old Alexandria Hassell, of Mineola. They are facing charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say the owner of the pawn shop was issued a summons by the Town of Hempstead for operating the shop illegally.
