Freeport police are searching for the suspects who injured two police officers following rapper and actor 50 Cent's visit to the Nautical Mile over the weekend.
Video captured the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, performing Saturday at Bracco's Clam and Oyster Bar.
Police say the show went off without a hitch, but fighting broke out three hours after it ended.
News 12 is told that customers inside the restaurant threw bottles and other objects, injuring two officers who were making several unrelated arrests across the street.
"One guy picked up a little steak knife and ran out the door," says Ilona Jagnow, of nearby Otto's Restaurant. "The other guy threw a thing of silverware at my chef."
Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy says the village has launched a full investigation into the incident, and that those responsible will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Police say they will report Saturday's incident to the State Liquor Authority, which could mean Bracco's may lose its liquor license or face a hefty fine.
Village officials say the incident was the third case of disorderly conduct at Bracco's in the past year. Police say the State Liquor Authority found Bracco's guilty of two counts of running an unruly premises last May.
Officials also tell News 12 there was an incident two weeks ago involving topless dancers engaged in lewd acts at Bracco's.
The officers involved were not seriously hurt.
