Police are searching for a man armed with a knife who robbed a coin store in Plainview.
Officials tell News 12 Long Island the robbery took place Friday afternoon at the Coins Galleries of Oyster Bay at the Morton Village shopping center.
Police say after the robbery, the suspect was able to flee the scene. Detectives searched the store for evidence, while police officers flooded nearby neighborhoods behind the shopping center to search for the suspect.
Friday's robbery is the second to occur this year at the shopping center. Back in January, the Chase bank at the Morton Village shopping center was also robbed.
Police did not confirm if they have surveillance video of the suspect. It is not clear how much the robber got away with.
