Police have stepped up patrols after two more men ran nearly naked through Massapequa Preserve, and it comes days after someone else was arrested for the same thing.
Last Wednesday at the preserve, police say 57-year-old Andrew Parucci was naked from the waist down when he aggressively approached a woman. Parucci was arrested late Friday night and charged with public lewdness. Then on Sunday, police say two other incidents occurred in the preserve.
Police describe one suspect from Sunday's incidents as a black male 40 to 50 years old with a partial salt-and-pepper beard, and he was only wearing a green hooded sweatshirt at the time. The other suspect, they say, approached a woman around 3:30 p.m. He is described as a white male with a dark complexion and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. That second suspect was naked from the waist down.
Police used helicopters and K-9 units to track down the suspects in Sunday's incidents, but to no avail. Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
