Police: Second arrest made in violent New Cassel car robbery

Police say Luis Mario Matute is now facing charges following a violent carjacking in New Cassel last Saturday.

A second arrest has been made following a violent carjacking in New Cassel last Saturday.
Police say Luis Mario Matute is now facing charges.
According to police, Matute, 20, and Carlos Matute, 42, cut off a driver on Garland Lane and Maplewood Drive.
Both suspects then pointed a gun at the driver, forced him out of his vehicle and kicked him to the curb before stealing his car.
Carlos Matute was arrested last weekend and is facing robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, grand larceny, menacing and assault charges.
