New video shows the moment police say an 11-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint in East Flatbush.
It happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Nov. 15 near Utica Avenue and Avenue H.
Exclusive surveillance video obtained by News 12 shows a group using scooters as weapons. One person is seen getting knocked to the ground as others fight and then run off.
Investigators said two attackers approached the young victim, pointed a knife at him, took his jacket and then took off.
One of the attackers was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark-colored sneakers and a backpack.
Police said another was wearing a black face mask and black clothing.
“Oh my God,” said one woman who asked not to be identified. “That’s very scary! I’ve never experienced that, but it’s getting really serious out here.”
“The system needs to be changed,” said Andre Beaudelaire, of East Flatbush. “People do not respect people. They don’t have value of life.”
Investigators said no injuries were reported.
Police ask anyone with information to give them a call. All calls are kept confidential.
