Police search for women who stole camera equipment from Southampton hotel

Law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s help to find the people who stole from an East End hotel last month.
Two women swiped a Sony camera and a ZEISS lens from a private event that was being held at the Southampton Inn, according to Southampton Village Police.
The incident happened on Aug. 22, while the inn located at 91 Hill Street was hosting Hamptons Fashion Week.
Detectives tell News 12 the two pieces of camera equipment have a combined value of $10,000.
Anyone who recognizes the individuals is encouraged to contact Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest and all calls remain anonymous.
