Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a woman's home and stole her pocketbook.

A woman called 911 around 4 a.m. on Friday to say someone was breaking into her home in Aquebogue, police say. When police arrived, they found the suspect had taken the woman's pocketbook while she remained in the home.

A state police K-9 unit helped search for the suspect, who escaped.
