Police are searching Tuesday for the person who took an 8-year-old?s walker from her Brentwood driveway.
Brianna Martins suffers from cerebral palsy and needs the walker to get around. Police say the girl?s father left the walker unattended at the end of the driveway on Claywood Drive around 8:30 a.m. Monday. When he returned a short time later, the walker was gone. Neighbors say they saw an older-model pickup truck taking things from people?s garbage in the area that morning.
Brianna?s principal says the $3,000 walker is custom-made and specialized for her needs and therefore cannot easily be replaced. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
