Police say the man who caused a car crash in South Huntington while fleeing another was on drugs and driving without a license.
Police say 30-year-old Jonathan Flower was speeding a white pickup truck through the intersection of Pidgeon Hill and Longwood roads when he hit a red car. The impact of the crash caused the car to hit another vehicle. Flower did not stop, police say.
Flower also sideswiped a school bus, but no one was injured. He made it back to his Huntington Station home, where he hid his car, police say. A witness called 911 after Flower arrived and police immediately arrested him.
The driver of the red car, which was totaled, was extricated from the vehicle. He has been identified as Sean Cronin, of Huntington, and is said to be in serious condition.
Flower is being charged with DWI, driving without a license and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
