11ds agoNassau County police say they arrested a Roosevelt man in connection to a homicide that happened Saturday in Hempstead.
Officers responded to a 911 call at a residence on Botsford Street. Upon arrival, officers located 29-year-old Brenda Guadalupe Alfaro-Alcantara in the basement of the home with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Monday, police arrested 43-year-old Jose W. Funes-Zabala, who is charged with murder in the second degree.
