Police: Rollerblading robber holds up Hicksville Dunkin' shop
Police say a robber sporting a pair of Rollerblades held up a Dunkin' Donuts shop in Hicksville before skating off.
It happened Friday shortly before 8 p.m. Detectives say the male suspect entered the shop located at 100 North Broadway with skates on, and purchased a cup of coffee.
Then, while "simulating that he had a gun under his clothes," the suspect told the clerk to give him cash from the register.
The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of money and was last seen roller-skating south on Broadway.
The clerk was not hurt.
Police say the suspect is described as standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing blue sweatpants, a brown Carhartt jacket, red beanie cap, surgical mask, black rubber gloves and inline Rollerblades with a bronze chassis.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
