A Riverhead man is out free after police say he led officers on a chase through Hampton Bays while in possession of cocaine.
Southampton police say they tried to pull over 24-year-old Nykell Dean after he ran two stop signs. He then pulled into a driveway on Lynn Avenue, jumped out of his car and ran into the woods.
He was soon caught, but authorities say he put up a struggle.
