Police have released new surveillance video capturing two suspects who pistol-whipped a woman during a violent holdup in New Hyde Park.
Authorities say two men entered Storage 1-2-3 on South Third Street just before 5:30 p.m. last Tuesday and demanded cash from a female employee inside the facility.
In the surveillance footage, one of the men can be seen pushing the employee into a back office. Police say the man struck her in the back of the head with a gun; she exits the office moments later, trying to control the bleeding.
The facility owner says the female employee is recovering and should return to work this week.
Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
