Police have released the identity of a man found fatally stabbed Sunday in a Mastic home.Suffolk police have identified the victim as 21-year-old Tyrone Terry, of Henderson, N.C. Terry was employed as a corrections officer at the Polk Correctional Facility in Butner, N.C.
Terry's girlfriend, 34-year-old Dana Duford, said she was awakened by the sounds of struggle within her Mastic home around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Duford said an intruder punched her in the face when she went searching for the source of the noise.Duford told investigators that she later found her boyfriend in a pool of blood. She said her 3-year-old child was also home at the time of the incident.Police are looking for the intruder and are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
