Police are investigating after one person was injured in a shooting outside a club in North Patchogue early this morning.
According to police, Donte Hobson was standing outside the V.I.P. Lounge on Waverly Avenue with a large group of people when he was shot in the stomach.
Hobson, 30, a rapper known as "BOP," had just performed with a group inside the club.
Several witnesses fled the scene prior to police arrival. The suspect was described as a dark-skinned black male.
Hobson was transported to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
