A string of burglaries at several businesses has business owners in Suffolk County on edge.
Hummus Mediterranean in Holbrook was the latest business targeted.
Suffolk County police say a suspect tossed a brick through a glass door of the restaurant around 4:30 a.m., then went inside and stole cash.
Police say the same crime was committed at other businesses in the area.
Hummus Mediterranean owner Tony Mavruk says it’s a “horrible feeling.”
“You feel like your privacy is invaded,” Mavruk says.
Edesia Pizzera in Bohemia, Mayra’s Bakery in Lake Grove and Lemon Tree hair salon in Holbrook were also hit recently.
Police have not made any arrests.
They say there are a lot of similarities between the four break-ins but are not definitively saying if they are connected.
