Police in Floral Park launched an investigation into numerous acts of vandalism and property damage along Spooner Street early Sunday morning.
Some of the destruction took place just outside a church. Many neighbors told News 12 that they're still very upset about what occurred. They said they woke up to find trees uprooted, signs tossed, portable toilets turned over, mailboxes vandalized, flowerpots broken and window wipers removed from several cars.
Video from a neighbor's Ring camera recorded three men in their early 20s appearing to engage in acts of vandalism.
One neighbor told News 12 that one of the items that was damaged had sentimental value to her. A flowerpot with an angel from her late mother was destroyed.
Several police cars were patrolling the block on Sunday afternoon after neighbors filed police reports.
