Pellet-gun shootings were reported in Nassau and Suffolk counties on the same day a detective was shot by a pellet gun in Queens, and police are trying to figure out if a Riverhead woman is behind the string of incidents.

Tiara Ferebee, 24, is charged with attempted assault and weapons charges in connection with the pellet gun shooting of NYPD Detective Adam Jangel around 5 p.m. last Wednesday in Queens.

State police say they are looking for a brown Nissan Altima with the Missouri license plate "YH4-H3T," in which police say Ferebee is believed to be sitting in a surveillance picture.

Authorities are also looking for two other people in connection with four additional pellet-gun shootings that happened later that Wednesday evening on Long Island roadways. One vehicle was hit around 6 p.m. on the Southern State Parkway in Nassau. An hour later, police say two more vehicles were hit on Sunrise Highway in Southampton. A fourth vehicle was shot while driving on County Road 104.

Currently, Ferebee has only been charged in connection with the shooting of Jangel. According to court documents, she was quoted as telling investigators she does not remember much about that day.

"I don't know if I had a gun," the court documents state Ferebee said. "I don't remember. I don't know and I don't remember if I discharged a gun in the car. You know why you have me here. Just book me."

The NYPD is also investigating.
