Police are probing whether a Suffolk video game store robbery is connected to a string of thefts over the last two weeks.

Authorities say a man walked into Game Stop in the Mattituck Plaza Tuesday night and pretended to be a customer. Then, they say he walked up to the register, pulled out a gun and ran away with cash.

Police are reviewing surveillance video from inside the Game Stop and are also checking cameras in the area.

According to police, the hold-up fits the description of eight other armed robberies currently under investigation by Suffolk police.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is urged to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
