Police: Pedestrian killed in Rockville Centre motorcycle crash

Police say a man is dead and a motorcyclist was injured during a crash in Rockville Centre on Saturday night.

Police say a man is dead and a motorcyclist was injured during a crash in Rockville Centre on Saturday night.
They say a 42-year-old man was walking across the street on Merrick Road near North Forest Avenue when a 36-year-old motorcyclist crashed into him.
The motorcycle then hit a Honda Civic that was traveling eastbound, also on Merrick Road.
The driver of the Civic was not hurt, but both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An investigation is underway.
