2h agoPolice say a man has died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Central Islip.
The incident happened Monday around 8:30 p.m.
According to police, Paul Benjamin, 68, was hit at the intersection of Carleton Avenue and Elmore Street by a dark-colored SUV that sped off.
Benjamin, of Central Islip, died at the hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
