Police: Pedestrian fatally struck by drunk driver in Coram

According to police, Jason Hank was driving northbound on Route 112 when the vehicle struck an adult male pedestrian in the roadway.

Police say a pedestrian was fatally struck in Coram by an alleged drunk driver.
According to police, Jason Hank was driving northbound on Route 112, approximately 1,000 feet south of Pine Road, when the vehicle struck an adult male pedestrian in the roadway.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives charged Hank, 24, of Port Jefferson Station, with driving while intoxicated.
Hank is scheduled to be arraigned today.
