Police officers helped a woman in labor at her home in Elmont Sunday night.
Nassau County police say three officers and a police medic helped deliver the baby girl.
Both mom and daughter are doing well.
Also, one of Long Island’s first babies of 2018 is a boy.
Angelina Felix and Isai Zane Garcia welcomed their son Hayden into the world early Monday morning at Stony Brook University Hospital.
The 7 pound, 2 ounce baby was born at 1:05 a.m.
