Police: Oceanside man wanted for assaulting officer, multiple larcenies

In addition to assaulting an officer, police say Vincent Fredericks, 21, is wanted for stealing a vehicle, fleeing police, unlawful use of a credit card, numerous instances of stealing gas, other larcenies and 11 instances of stealing tip jars.

Police are searching for the person who they say assaulted a police officer on Monday in Westbury.
Police have identified the suspect as 21-year-old Vincent Fredericks, of Oceanside.
Police say the officer was assaulted along Old Country Road in Westbury around 6:15 p.m. Monday when officers attempted to pull Fredericks over for a traffic stop.
In addition, police say Fredericks is wanted for stealing a vehicle, fleeing police, unlawful use of a credit card, numerous instances of stealing gas, other larcenies and 11 instances of stealing tip jars from businesses in Nassau County.
Police say Fredericks may be operating a black BMW with Connecticut registration 754WOS.
If anyone has information on the his location they can call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
Police say all callers will remain anonymous and callers may qualify for a $10,000 reward.
