A motorcyclist who was critically injured during a crash last month in Bellmore has died, according to police.
Authorities say 34-year-old Richard Sorrentino, of Queens, struck a man riding a bicycle across Sunrise Highway on Oct. 12. The motorcycle caught fire after impact.
Sorrentino sustained severe trauma and burns. He was airlifted to a hospital, where he remained in critical condition until his death on Friday.
Police say the bicyclist was hospitalized in stable condition.
