Police say a Dix Hills mom and her 2-year-old daughter have been located after they were reported missing.

Police say Kristen Moore and her daughter Alyssa Scott-Moore left her home at 4:30 p.m. Monday to go to the doctor. According to police, the 41-year-old took off in a gray pickup truck and did not immediately return.

Police updated the case Wednesday, saying the two were found unharmed.

An investigation into the case is continuing.
