Police are searching for a man involved in an armed carjacking at the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead.

News 12 was told it happened outside of Banana Republic just before 4 p.m. Friday.

Detectives say a man pulled the driver out of their car and threatened the victim with a box cutter. He then got in the victim's car and took off. 

The stolen car was last seen about an hour later in Queens.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
