An ex-con is accused of threatening two Riverhead homeowners with a gun.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. Thursday when police say 34-year-old Daquan J. Strand got into an argument with the homeowners. The homeowners say Strand was attempting to squat at the home.

Police say Strand pulled out the loaded gun. He was arrested, and police say he injured an officer's finger while in custody.

Strand now faces charges, including criminal possession of a weapon.
