Police say they have arrested a man for stabbing the mother of his child in Lake Ronkonkoma.
According to police, Stephen John, of Brooklyn, stabbed the woman on Lake Shore Road last night.
Police say the two were in the car together when they got into a fight. John then allegedly stabbed the women when she got out of the vehicle. The woman is expected to be OK.
There is no word on what they were arguing about.
Stephen was charged with assault, aggravated criminal contempt and grand larceny.
