A gunman allegedly shot a man during an attempted robbery Saturday night in Hempstead, police say.
The incident happened just before 6 p.m. on Baldwin Road near Oak Avenue.
Police say the 40-year-old victim told the suspect he didn't have any cash. The alleged attacker then pulled out a long wooden gun, shot the man in the leg and fled.
The victim was treated at the hospital
The suspect is still on the loose.
